Better understanding of the regional geology of a potential oil and gas play
can be obtained by looking at seismic data over an expansive area. Shooting a new,
large seismic survey over hundreds of square miles is a prohibitively expensive
process and is sometimes not even possible due to current land restrictions.
One solution to this is to gather many existing 3D data sets and compile them together into one.
The merging of multiple 3D seismic surveys that have been recorded at different
dates over a long period of time using several acquisition parameters creates
several challenging tasks. Reservoir Geophysical has several computational resources and specializes
in overcoming the many issues associated with survey merging. We will work closely with your staff
to create one large, detailed and seamless data set to help your interpreter meet the geologic
objectives of your project.
